The folks that took over the Ox-Yoke products have really jumped into the deep water and are having to do a lot of kicking and such just to stay afloat, and they figured that the most important thing was to get the products out and worry about the niceties (like labels) later.
From talking to them they said that as of last week, they had gotten labels and package headers printed and will be looking more like a real business now.
I guess the main purpose of headers is to provide a place to punch a hole so it can be hung up on a wall, and to identify what the heck it is, the real proof of the pudding is what's inside, but we, as consumers, have come to expect fancy packaging and we equate what's inside with what's on the outside. Sorry, the rant is officially over now.
Anyway, I am pretty happy with what I have seen so far from all the things we have gotten in from them. They are doing a good job, and we appreciate their willingness to do everything they can to continue a good product line, even if they are a little slow in getting some of the frills taken care of. And no, they are not repackaging old Ox-Yoke merchandise, it is all new production. There was not much left on the shelves at the Ox-Yoke plant. We got a small shipment in June, I think, but it was just odds and ends, and didn't even start to fill our order that we had on file. Hope this helps clarify the Ox Yoke situation.
