September 1st, dove opens today. Anybody hunting with a smoothie?

I wanted to take my 20 gauge smooth bore out today but we've got rain forecast so I will fall back to the old standby modern O/U.

Haven't been "doving" in decades. In the Deep South dove shooting is as much a social event as a game shooting challenge. Although I prefer quail over dove for dinner I seldom use a shotgun on anything other than turkey, if shot is required. In fact, I use my flintlock smoothbore (with ball) more for deer than for anything else.
