Does anyone use them
I have a 32cal and was thinking about it but before I do something stupid thought I would ask the experts here

Is this what you're talking about? I carry these with me for a quick follow up shot, but have actually only used then once while hunting. The cow elk fell as I was watching her, so I didn't need to shoot again. But I was reloaded in no time.

I like to make those tails on the ends, because it makes a handy handle to grab and tear. I've used them folded over, but it tends to tear in the wrong place and I end up losing powder. I use two felt wads under the ball, and tie a string under the wads to help hold lube and to keep the ball from sliding down the tube when it's being loaded. Not super accurate, about a four inch group at 50 yards, but very fast if you have a wounded animal right in front of you. If the animal is hit and goes out of sight, I just reload the normal way. I used to make and use them for my mini's. I tried several times to make and use them for prb but always had problems with the paths keeping centered. So now I use a loading block and waxed paper powder charges. For hunting I use the plastic tubes horse wormer comes in ( I know it isn't pc. )pluged with a tapered dowel rod). I do use paper
"shot cartridges" in my shotguns and paper cartridges for the smoothbore when shooting "bare balls". :idunno: :idunno:
