Here’s a Parker Hale 3 Band Enfield First Generation S/N 4460 made in 1977. This .58 (.577”) Caliber Rifled Musket has a tapered round 1-1/16” to 13/16” beautiful deep blued 39” barrel with the same original progressive depth 1 in 78” twist rate rifling and comes fitted with adjustable ladder rear sight ranged to 900 yards. Stamped on the top of the barrel is “Parker-Hale LTD Birmingham England” and on the bottom is “3 1/2 Dram Black Powder .577 530 CR Bullet” with proof marks on each side (see attached photo). The bore is in excellent mirror bright condition. The P grade European Walnut stock is fitted with a mix of brass and blued steel furniture. The Parker Hale cartouche is stamped on the right side of the buttstock. The bone charcoal color case hardened large military style percussion lock is fitted with a musket nipple and has 1853 Enfield with the British Crown and P-H stamped on the lockplate. Length of pull is 14”, overall length is 55” and the weight is 9 lbs. Comes with original copy of receipt from Dixie Gun Works dated 8/24/77, owners manual, an original copy of the DGW advertisement flyer and also a red patch “1853 Enfield Rifle Musket with crossed rifles and Parker Hale”. Factory wood to metal fit-made by Parker Hale Birmingham, England. This rifle is in good overall condition and the only thing keeping it from being considered excellent, is the pitting/scratches found around the nipple bolster area of the barrel. Otherwise it has minor handling marks from simply now being 43 years old. I bought it from the original owner 3 years back, who had re-enacted with it briefly back in the 80’s. My only reason for selling is that my failing health prevents me from doing much in the way of shooting these days. I’ve got a box of 50 proper fitting .575” 560 grain minie ball bullets that come with it. It also comes with a good fitting India made bayonet and an Enfield sling. I know P-H’s are the very best reproduction and am pricing it correctly and competitively, taking its 85-90% condition into account at $725, which will include shipping anywhere in my home state of Alaska, or the lower 48 wherever not prohibited by law. My preferred method of payment is a USPS money order. I’m not interested in trades at this time. Please PM me for more information, specific photos or any other questions not previously answered above.
