This was at the auction. One cardboard box was intact, the others fell apart in my hands.
For sale is one bundle of the softest jute I've ever felt. It feels like human hair.
$20 plus shipping.

Interesting. Who knew Parker-Hale marketed tow?

I bought a bundle of flax tow from Smiling Fox Forge that was like that, several years ago. I now understand where the terms "flaxen hair," and here in the south, "tow-headed," came from.

Good luck with your sale!

I bet its been a day or two since they sold it. I've used plenty of jute cordage in my days, my fondest memory was for pole beans as a kid. Dad planted an acre of them and we used jute for the beans to climb on. But this stuff is as soft as a girls hair...really something. I have several bundles, I don't need that much for personal use.
