I'm not to this point yet but just thinking ahead. Other than removing the obvious like lock and barrel, what should I leave mounted to the stock during the AF staining process?
Buttplate, Patchbox, Pipes, Triggerguard?
And if leaving the above brass parts on the stock is suggested, why?
I've seen the patchbox left in place but that was for a tar based stain. What about AF effect on brass?
