Patch Lube' for Smoothbores

I'm curious at to the type of patch lube' that members use in their smoothbores?

I don't know many smoothbore shooters, but one uses a home made brew, another a commercial patch lube and the third swears by Castrol Marine Grease!

PS I know that just about anything will work, but ultimately, I am interested in smallest groups.

For me, all I use in anything in Natural Lube 1000

Vegerable Oil or "Fluid Lube". This can be obtained at a farm supple dealer ship. There is NO question this is my favorite. Another big plus is that it is not greasy on your hands like the other stuff. I can shoot all day with it!

I use the same thing in my smoothbore as I do in my rifle ... Bears oil'd patches.

I wipe castor oil Moose Snot around the cushion wads with shot or rub it on patches for round ball.

I use either Wonder Lube or #13, only because I have many jars of it left...

Stumpy sent me some Moose Snot to try as well...

I have used olive oil or Crisclive oil is my preferred.

For me the very best is "Fluid Lube", then olive oil followed by veg. oil. Fluid Lube can be bought by this very name at farm implement stores. It is GREAT! Clean and does a very good job. Bought, it isn't cheap. I think it is time for me to buy 5 gallons of the stuff(something like $50, but that is ALLOT of lubed cushions) though and forget the rest. I love the stuff!
