Sooo, not sure if this is the right spot for this.
bought a barrel , lock side plate and butt plate for said musket. barrel is definitely shootable, and the lock functions perfectly, but am missing a few parts, nothing major.....lol
are any of you familiar with this particular model and where parts for such could be found? really need a stock or enough of one to make a pattern in order to carve a fresh one. many of the small parts are third model Brown bess items, so should not be too hard to find.
i know one or two were shipped from England during the Civil war to the states.
anyone have any info, leads, etc?
 
yes, i`ve checked them all out. not much out there, but in no hurry. i can't bring myself to pay over $400 CDN for a stock on a musket that will never be worth the price of the parts.
there is a few parts in jolly old England that i may get, i know i won't find them here
