There was one for sale on TOTW yesterday, 44 cal rifled & priced very reasonably...I almost bought it, but wasn't particularly fond of the placement of the touch hole. It did sell, and rather quickly. When were these made, and does anyone here have any experience with one?

Should have grabbed it. The location of that touchhole wouldn't have made any difference to ignition at all.
