I have a Pedersoli Plainsman in a caplock that I would like to convert to a flinter. Can anybody point me in the right direction as to where I may be able to get materials required? Any help would be greately appreciated.

I converted a Cabellas Frontier caplock to flint a few years ago. Very easy, drop-in project. I ordered the lock from VTI Replica Gun Parts, which came without a mainspring. Had to canniballize the percussion lock to make it work. Seems the vent-liner had to be re-tapped, but was positioned correctly. Hope this helps.

I converted my Pedersioli's Jeager and bought both lock and vent in Track of the Wolf. I think also for Dixie Gun it wasn't a problem (it's a little bit more expensive).
