I am a new member here although I've owned muzzle loaders for many years. I got side tracked by the WWI and WWII surplus rifles. I've since sold the majority of that collection and have now turned my attentions back to muzzle loaders. I have three that I wish to sell to fund a couple of Jim Kibler's kits. The first two, I've got a pretty good idea what their value is but the Chambersburg Pennsylvania, I've got no idea.

- Pedersoli Frontier, .45 caliber. Walnut stock. Shot maybe 10 times. Like new condition
- Pedersoli Deluxe Frontier (#6 curly maple with brass furniture/patch box), .45 caliber, Never shot. New condition
- Pedersoli Pennsylvania (Chambersburg), .45 caliber, Extensive brass furniture, Never shot, New Condition. As far as I know this model stopped being offered not long after 2004 when I purchased it. I suspect this has a bit more value than the Deluxe Frontier.

In the current times it is hard to place a value on any guns, Just decide on what you want for them and advertise them. If they sell quickly you were under priced, if they don't sell, you are over priced.

Dunno about others but value on stuff is off like double. Trying to get a new shop building and labor and materials are out of sight along with everything else. Happened by big box sporting goods shop and all the black powder guns and accoutremont are either sold out and the scant remainders are astronomically priced. Gun Broker's advanced search for closed auctions will tell you a lot. Trend is Bad for buyers and good for sellers.

The top three are the ones I'm letting go. The bottom three I sold some time ago... I can provide more detailed pictures once I am allowed to post in the WTS section.

Yeah, I hear you. I was on the completed listings the other day. But, very few Pedersoli's like mine are showing up. Lots of pistols though  I did notice a very nice Pedersoli Kentucky that sold fairly large but it appeared to have a maple stock vs. the walnut. At one time Pedersoli would cut you a maple stock if you special ordered it.

Right now MidwayUSA has the standard Frontier flintlock listed for $890 new. I recently saw new ones on Gunbroker for $850 or so, though I'm not seeing any on there now. There is a used caplock Frontier .32 on GB with a starting bid of $695, but that has been up there for several weeks now with no takers. Cabela's list their Blue Ridge (essentially the same rifle, from what I understand) for $700 (but is not available at this time).

I guess using the above as a guideline, it would depend on how quickly you want them sold. Listing the walnut stock Frontier at about $600 would probably sell fairly quickly (I'd take it off your hands at that price ;)!) The other two would definitely be worth a few hundred more over the walnut Frontier ($900 -$1000, or so?)

I think these prices would be fair for previously owned rifles. You may get more if you tried selling on GB (maybe).

Been kinda out of ML about a decade until retirement. I was recently over at the Muzzle Loading Emporium. I looked at everything and was shocked at prices on stuff from GPRs to nice customs. When I got home i researched stuff on net and elsewhere. WOW! Given that prices are skyrocketing (due to uncertain supply and current inflation) I'm tempted to go back and dump big bucks on selected items. Point is, you may want to not change them for "inflatobucks" unless you have to.

Inflatrobucks are fine but you have to spend them quickly and transform them into something that will gain value. That's why I will buy two of Jim's kits...

Smart move. As of a day ago the poor mans inflationary index is now 9, 9 and 40. $9/ft concrete/ $9 for 2x4 and $40 for OSB!!!!

I need to update these numbers since less than a month ago. Now $1.25+/ft for 2x4 and $11/ft concrete and $46 OSB (or 3/8" ply). Steel is up 34%+ and climbing. Just finished our new workshop and had to go with metal instead of stick built. Builder said we avoided the $3800 increase (on a sub $10k building) by a single day!! The shelves at lowes and HD are barren of Pegboard and electrical stuff like boxes and panels. This cannot continue and will affect everything including our hobby.
