Thinking about picking up one as a kit to get my feet wet with my first pistol kit this winter. I've read about the nose cap issue in regards to the heavier loads. I plan to "borrow" another fine members idea and pin the barrel to the stock with a front underlug.

Now I've read back 2 years worth of posts on the pistol forum and may have missed it. What is the max load Pedersoli recommends? Not that I plan to start at the max load at all, just curious.

Thanks.

Ah nevermind, figured out how to use their site. the max is only 35gr. That's not as much as I expected.

Thanks

I have a Pedersoli LePage flint pistol in .45 caliber. 25 grains of 3F is plenty of powder in it. A 35 grain charge in a pistol feels pretty stout.

Many Klatch

I have one that is percussion and I shoot 25-30 and it will let you know.
I used to shoot 35gr and kicked like a mule.
Stout pistol though.

Cheers, DonK
