Pedersoli Shotguns?

I bought a 12 from cabelas in 2016 and it has been a great piece. It has fixed choke barrels and never a problem with hammers or triggers. Only thing I changed was the nipples, replaced them with TCs. Hope this helps, Reds

How’s the weight and balance?

Comes up nicely I will try and weigh it tomorrow but only have a bathroom scale. I use it for upland, doves, turkey and waterfowl and never noticed it being heavy. I do use a sling but that’s just to free up both hands.

The Pedersoli shotguns are good buys and will serve you well. I regret selling my 10 gauges but really enjoy the 20's. Yes they are expensive but worth the price in my opinion.

I agree there are a quite a few. I am always amazed at how many Howdahs and stage coach short s/s guns there are. I only look at them from a hunting or target perspective, so I never understood the fascination of them. I guess everyone has their thing. Outside of those, there really are only a couple of 12's and maybe a 10. If someone was looking for a shooter s/s 12, there is a CVA right now that looks like it is in perfect shape. Pretty hot bidding and still around 500.

My first double -- bought as a kit 40-ish years ago -- was the CVA. I must confess it was as lively as a 2 x 4, especially in comparison to any of the unchoked Pedersoils or Piettas.

My 10 gauge was manufactured in 1985, only the serial number is visible on the barrel, everything else is on the bottom side, excellent smooth locks and triggers, I seldom shoot it anymore but it’s very well built and shoots great.

Quality of Pedersoli shotguns? I have one of the first (unmentionable) La Bohemiene double 12's....have with skeet and trap maybe 800+ rounds through it...cannot recommend anything close in quality. I get nothing but compliments at the ranges. This post is only referencing Pedersoli quality.

My question about Pedersoli shotguns (currently made ones especially) is are they considered reliable and durable? I plan to use it heavily, not to use as a wall hanger. Any issues to watch out for? Are they genuinely good shotguns, or not so much?

Ive owned two, 10 and 12 ga. both were fine performers. Price has nothing to do with how long it takes to turn them into stars but patience does.
