"ran out of balls,
(no comment needed)"

Awww come on. :crackup: One surely is needed. But i won't, i won't, the H**l i won't. ::

if there 8.5 x 11 pieces a paper what's wrong with those groups....and if there index cards well ya have some small ball's there that made them small holes :crackup: .......bob

To bob1961 only,,
(to the rest of you boys,, I think I better just keep quiet,)
That is a 2 inch circle in the middle and it's only 50 yards, I was hopin to stay in the circle at 50 yards,, I've been lookin at the shoot you all do,, 3x5 card,, I have trouble with my 4x6's,, I keep hittin closer to the edges, not the middle,,

Got it mounted

Been doin some shootin,, Not happy yet,,

I noticed in your picture that you left the old existing rear sight on after you mounted the peep sight on the tang...

Isn't the rear sight obstructing your view of the front sight when looking through the peep? :hmm:

I been wonderin when some one was gonna mention that, actually I have been told that by my neighbor till he looked thru it, (he uses a peep on his bow) I have 30 y/o eyes now !!, Everything just falls into place for me, Plus I have a tendency to hold any weapon a lil off center, and that also helps with that, Although it is a son-of-a-gun (pun) to sight it in, I really do like it there,,,,

I think yore forked stick needs some attention. Rifles tend to shoot away from hard objects. Put somethin' soft like yore coonskin cap in that fork and try it thataway. :front: :hatsoff:

yep, I agree, I will wrap the top with leather when I'm done saddle soapin the stick,,

Hay all,, no one told me that the smooth side of the pillow tickin patch goes next to the ball,, and the lines line up with the sight and the ram rod while loadin with the ball starter,, at least with a 1 in 66 twist,, it DOES make a difference,,,, at least on mine,,,

Hey hobbles, the smooth side of the pillow tickin patch goes next to the ball, and the lines line up with the sight and the ram rod while loadin with the ball starter...

Actually, I do use the lines on the pillow ticking for alignment, this give consistency in loading...

Mornin boss,, thanks for the info, ;>)~~ Honestly thou, I did sea a difference with the sides of the patches. I'm startin to think my weapon is as touchy as my Lady is, But when handled right, it performs well..
Ya know boys, When I first got here I could barley hit a 8x11 piece of paper, And you all really gave me some great advice, My weapon has went through a lot to get where it is now, I am rather proud of it , I kept tellin my Lady that I would get it to where I would put the POI inside the 2 inch circle at 50 yards, She said she believed me cause I had all the help from here, And that's the ONLY reason I am doin it now,, Boys,, I THANK YOU ALL for all the info,, (the good and the bad) I think this old saddle tramp found a home,,,,

I think yore forked stick needs some attention.
