Not PC but thought it may be useful for upland bird hunting where things could happen pretty quick at times. Anyone use them? I was thinking they would simplify a quick reload while in the field, without fumbling around in a bag looking for different components that make up a charge.

Opinions and options always appreciated.

Mike, If you used pellets in a sidelock gun, you'd probably need to "prime" with black powder just to get the gun to fire reliably. Le Grand

LeGrand...It's called a "pellet packer". The "pellet" refers to shot pellets not powder pellets. It's a 4"x1"x1" plastic case with 3 seperate compartments, the center being the largest to hold powder and shot in the outside smaller compartments and wads in the center larger compartment.

I have some two-compartment tubes for shot and powder that I have used for years. They speed loading in the field and greatly reduce the bulk and weight you must carry in the field. I put some wads in my pocket along with 8-10 preloaded tubes and leave my shooting bag and shot snake in the truck.

Its a Forum advertiser at the top of the screen...not sure how that fits in with the theme of 'traditional muzzleloading' but it's there

Not everything talked about on this site is pure traditional.
Ohhhhhh, that was cold!

I couldn't help it.

FWIW, I've turned down some more "modern" advertisers lately.
