does anyone know if you can swap out a musket size nipple on a 54cal gpr . It has a lr lock system and i want to put a musket nipple on the rifle for more fire to powder to insure ignition. Thanks :hmm:

You would probably need another hammer to use musket nipples. I use the CCI Magnum but I never had any problem with the ignition with the standard. I use real black powder and it worked fine. Geo. T.

My brother was using Musket caps with his Invest Arm Hawken . He had fire problems , but he also used Pyrodex and triple 7.
I have no problems on my Invest Arm guns with Goex powders.

thanks guys, since i only use goex i will stick with the winchester magnum # 11. Thanks for imput

Looking thru the TrackOfTheWolf on-line nipple section, I noticed they do have a musket nipple to fit Lyman.

Just checked my Deerstalker hammer & a musket cap will fit in the recess, as long as the nipple is pretty much centered.
