SOLD Percussion .45 Hawken, Investarm?

I picked this up a couple of years ago for the Green Mountain .50 caliber barrel that came with it. I've never shot this with the factory .45 caliber barrel.

Bore looks nice and shiny with no rough or tight spots. Minor scuffs, scratches, nicks and dings from normal use. Overall it's in pretty nice condition.

Looks like a Investarm gun, but is not marked with the name "Investarm". I'm unfamiliar with the manufacturer mark on the barrel.

1974 "XXX" date code.

It is identical to my investarms .45, it has a stylized I on top of the barrel.

every thing about this .45 says early Armsport import most likely made by Investarms. the furniture is classic armsport. they shifted to spanish made guns later on. have never found a investarms made gun that wouldn't do its job and do it well. wish this one was a flint. jm2c

I would guess at 1:48". I'll try to get an accurate measurement of the twist over the weekend. It weighs just under 9# on my scale.

I've had a number of these over the years. I'd say they are every bit as capable of good performance as a Lyman GPR. These have been undervalued in the past, IMHO. I would like to see the twist rate posted here, if possible. I'd expect 1:48 as well, but I've heard of different rates on these, depending on when they were made.

Checked it a few times and I'm getting roughly 1/2 a turn in about 24" of cleaning rod... It'd say it has a 1:48" twist.

How about we drop the price to $350 shipped?

I believe Lyman also marketed this rifle in the mid 70's as the " Lyman Plains Rifle" .........not to be confused with the GPR......
