Are there any kits available for percussion rifles that are built with Kibler's type of details/machining and are as easy to assemble for a novice?
Thanks!
Jim

I would write Mr. Kibler and ask him if he can put together a kit and leave the touch hole undrilled and the lock mortise uncut for your lock/drum.

Yes. But,,,
Almost every notable supplier that offers a quality un-assembled kit, also offer the kit as "In The White", for an extra fee.
All of the tool works for fitting and shape are completed, the metal is still bare and the wood only requires the finish stain and top coats
That "in the white" fee,, usually begins around $700(+) above the cost of the kit, plus the waiting time,

The 100+ hours and tool cost,, for the novice might only be 50hrs labor for a set-up craftsmen (that lives 10miles down the road from the shop,)
What's time worth in 2023? The man's Gotta make a livin right?,,

Care to name some of these companies that are producing Kibler quality percussion kits?

Buy a new lock, cut off what you don't need.

Change the vent for a drum.

Find a hammer to fit or make fit.

Fit drum to lock and hammer.

"What's time worth in 2023? "

When you do it yourself, what did it cost if you paid yourself what you make, or made, at your job?

Depends on where you are in this journey called life. I'm retired. Not working. So, my time is worth nothing! I engage in several hobbies wherein I make things and sell them. The market tells me what my product is worth and I assure you that it proves my time to be worth about $2 an hour. But spending my time at that activity only costs me money if I take that time away from an activity or job that pays more than $2 an hour.

Not only that, but I could decide that what I do is not worth it.
That I'm a fool to spend my time at $2 an hour and withdraw to physical and mental inactivity. Then I gotta ask myself what is my physical and mental well-being worth?

In fact, I also engage in physical fitness activities that involve considerable effort. I don't get paid anything for that!

@SOLANCO Not critiquing your post, just using it as a springboard for my philosophizing which has it's own value commonly referred to as "my .02 cents worth". Y'all can send the money via PayPal. 😀

Just to give you a more detailed answer, if you have never built a kit before and don't have much previous wood working skill, there is not, to my knowledge, any percussion kit on the market that will match the quality and ease of assembly that a Kibler kit will provide. But if you want to get your feet wet and build a shootable percussion rifle without spending a ton of money, I'd suggest one of the Investarms kits. For a bit more money, Pedersoli makes several percussion kits. You can produce a decent rifle from either, but it will not match Kibler standards. But either of the other kits will help you develop your building skills. You will also need to acquire a selection of files, rasp, and a chisel or 2 in order to get started. You can add to your tools as you progress if you don't already have what you need.
