Anyone know where I could find new made old style sailmakers tool set? (sailmakers palm fids needdles seam rubber ect) for a pirate/ colonial sailor impression.

I sometimes see fids, serving mallets and related gear on ebay.

Make a fid, all you need is a lathe and some maple or birch.Same with a mallet.

A lot of the Sailor's Palms that you can buy today have a lot of plastic in them. The older ones were rawhide and pewter. The non-adjustable ones will fit a gorilla, you will have to cut them down and sew them to fit your hand.
