Would there be any problem with using a commercial kitchen type stainless steel ladle to melt and pour Cerrosafe or pewter?

Pewter & Cerrosafe - use stainless ladle?

I don't know why not. I've used a stainless table spoon to pour lead into bullet molds for many years.
Nope, but a soup can works too.

That's what I have used for a long time! I just bent the bowl at a angle 90% to the handle and also bent a small spout V in the lip. Works great!
