So I’m having an issue with my PD, I went to shoot it for the first time and it seems like the hammer is not contacting with the cap. I am using #11 caps and all 4 that did not fire in it fired fine out of my other guns, so I know the caps are good. Previous owner had fired it but it was 20 years ago. Is there an adjustment to the nipple or hammer? I am new to C&B guns so sorry if this seems like a dumb question. Don’t know if you can see any issue from pic, I can take close up when I get home.

Try a nipple with a little shorter cone. It appears that you have a new replacement nipple with too long a cone. The back of the hammer nose seems to be hitting the nipple and slowing down the hammer fall. Have you removed and cleaned the lock and applied fresh grease, lightly, to the rubbing parts? Do you have spent caps lodged in the nose of the hammer or old caked on fouling in that recess in the hammer? First step should be a total cleaning and lubricating.

Ok I will try replacing the nipple, not sure if it’s a replacement or not, gun is just how I bought it.
