Philadelphia Derringer

A friend found this in his grandma's closet. The condition is remarkable! Anyone know anything about it besides the obvious?

My first thought was a Pedersoli Philadelphia Derringer but it isn't.

Do you have more pictures? It looks like one from old Henry himself, but can’t say for sure without seeing the top and far side.

THAT's a pretty good copy IF it is a copy. IF it's original, somebody kept good care of it, and it didn't see much carry use or shooting.

Heres an original in rougher condition that I bought a couple years back. Unless they had hammer variations I dunno. They seem close but not the same. I can post other views too if you need comparisons

The OPs if original would be the second series which didn't include a ramrod like (pokers) which is the first run.

Loading rods were on longer barrel Deringers.
For detail may I suggest The Derringer in America, Volume 1 , Wilson/Eberhart, or Henry Deringer’s Pocket Pistol, John Parsons. Eberhart is, I think, most serious about Henry Deringer and his rivals. Look at Henry Deringer Pistols From 1826 to 1870, L.D. Eberhart ©2007 paperback No. 136 of 250. Cost me about $50 some 13 years ago, local gun show.
