Why was the "Not my gun" post locked? Some people try to have a little fun and it gets stiffled. Very disappointing.

I guess Madeleine Murray O"Hare proved it... one voice can change the world.

There are various reasons to close a thread. Sometimes it becomes too long and it's more expedient to begin a new one. It makes it much easier to browse the posts. Sometimes a thread strays so far from the original topic, it no longer has continuity. In that case, it's just best to start over.

In this particular case, I felt that the thread had run it's course and was bordering on the argumentative. I saw no constructive purpose for it to continue, so I locked it. Did I do it too soon? Was it really necessary? I'm not sure, it's a judgment call. I let many things go that are borderline, but I guess I just chose to act on this one. My intent was not to spoil anyone's fun. :winking:

Please don't see it as censorship, but rather a means of keeping things on track. This happens rarely and if you noticed, the original photo was reposted by Musketman and a conversation has ensued.

Ooops! I just got moderated by Squirelsaurus Rex, so I guess that's just four more to go until I have the complete set ::
