those are some great pictures, Swamps...thanks for sharing. It's nice to see some photos of soldiers with smiling kids, handing out clothes and toys.

Too bad you aren't likely to see those on the news.

Hey, you know what...let me have his address and we'll send him some copies of the magazine, especially since your picture is in it!!! Bob from Thunder Ridge Muzzleloading bought 5 subscriptions so I matched him on it so we sent 10 over to a Cavalry Battalion. I would be happy to send some more.

In the absence of peace, thank God for warriors.

Let me know what we can do.

Stumblin

StumblinBufllr I intend to subscribe to your mag myself, just been abit tight on money the last couple months. Sending you an email and a check. :)

YMH&OS,

Excellent photos, Swampy. What unit is he in? Is it possible for anyone so inclined to send him an e-mail christmas greeting? As far as that goes, does anyone else have a family member over there who we could send an e-mail greeting to? Many of us here knows what it's like to be away from home and loved ones because of a deployment, either in peace or war. It's not fun. I know it may not be possible to send an e-mail, but if I can, I would really like to.
One of my officers is the 1SG in an MP company and has been there since early Jan 04. He'll be there for a few more months by the looks of things. His e-mail address is: [email protected]
Thanks...
Rick

Those are some wonderful pictures, kind of breaks the myth that all Americans are cold blooded killers during times of war...

Send the email address of anyone there you all think could use email. I sure am not doing anything...and would love to cheer a good looking soldier up  :shocking:

If my publisher doesn't catch me typing..... :no:told them I cannot sit and work....said nothing about laying down on the job. :results:

As an ex-military brat and Navy person... :thumbsup:I know mail means a great deal. :agree:

I would love to give you names and email addresses but I was asked not to post his or anyones name and I will respect that wish. It took a little convincing just to get the pictures on the web and I really wanted to do that to show that there is more going on in Iraq besides what we see on the news every night.

I understand and respect his wishes. Please pass on my wishes for a happy and safe holiday. Rick

Amen, brother! The job of the Liberal press is to convince us that the war is a "quagmire", and that our troops are just a bunch of thugs who are out murdering innocent Iraqis. You will NEVER see pictures like these in the mainstream press! They don't fit in with their agenda!
Anyhow, Swampy, God bless your cousin and all the other troops currently serving. They are in our thoughts and prayers. Merry Christmas.

SR,
very nice. thanks for sharing.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
snake-eyes :RO: :peace: :peace: :peace:

i could only repeat what has already been said, but please convey my best wishes and thanks for the great job they are doing .

Merry Christmas

I was at a birthday party this summer and a 22 year old guy was there who was just back from iraq and he said what your seeing in the news is a lot different than what is actually going on over there. i also work with a women whose son is in the corps and she said the war coverage is worse than the actual war! :shake: Alot of people who are in newsrooms have a Vietnam war protest mentality and see this country in that viewpoint.

Just a post script,

His tour is over and was surposed to leave Iraq the 1st or 3rd of March for Germany. We are still waiting to hear from him. So hopefully he'll be home soon. :peace:
