Cabela's has their Pietta 1851 Confederate .44 revolver on sale for Thanksgiving Day for 150 bucks. Comes with a free starter kit and if you use "3Winter" code during checkout free shipping.
You can't hardly steal it for that!
I have 4 of the Pietta's from Cabelas and consider them good shooters and loads of fun.
I needed it like I needed another hole in my head, but my black powder addiction and the price made it so I couldn't resist so I just finished ordering it.
I NEED HELP!!

I know folks get down on them, but the one I bought 9 or 10 years ago is still the tightest shooting bp revolver I own.

I have 3 or 4 brass revolvers and all are still tight as can be. None of them were bought new. I have shot them all and keep the charge in the 20 grain range on the .36 and .44's. Except when I use them at civil war events since I am just blowing powder I do up the charge to 30 grains.

I don't own one of those but a close relative does. it shoots good. he uses a .357mag casefull of 3x under a lee mold slug. quite powerful.
