Here is a unfired in the box Pietta 1851 Navy .36 cal revolver that Cabela's used to sell as the Hickok model. It is a good example of what Pietta could do when they put their mind to it. The color case hardened frame and 25% of the barrel group show tasteful engraving it has faux ivory grips and everything fits as it is supposed to. The arbor is the correct length and the B/C gap is .004 and the timing is spot on. These revolvers were a serious cut above Pietta's usual production. The only thing that has been done to this revolver is the full cock notch in the hammer has been pinnd to limit trigger engagement and provide a crisp short 4lb pull and the shipping goo has been removed and the exterior rewaxed to protect the finish.
I bought this about six years ago as a potential backup in case one of the pair that i regularly shoot went down. Well that pair is still running like they were new and this has just sat in the safe. One thing nice about these pistols is they shoot point of aim is point of impact not 8 to 12 in high. At least the two I shoot do and so does my brothers. Since this is the same gun I see no reason why it won't do the same.
Price is $425 which includes shipping anywhere in the CONUS it is legal to ship to. Payment by money order or personal check with a couple of days to clear. NO PAYPAL.
