The Pietta guns quality must have come up quite a bit in the past couple of years. I bought a 1851 Navy .36 cal. new a few years ago from Cabela's. I had to send the first one back due to the cylinder wouldn't come off the arbor after I first shot it. The replacement sent to me was and is slick as snot. No problems. Unless it's a screeming deal, Save some money and buy a new one. Cabela's will exchange it no questions asked.
