the american long rifle is devided into many schools or ereasand although some rifles seem to overlap i suppose because of journymen or a smith sees another rifle and likes an idea i can see there are a lot of differances from one school to another.
i have looked at most of the books available and can pick out the differances in rifle but in pistols i cannot say that they are noticable.when i try to study pistols it seems like whatever extra parts were laying around the shop then thats what they made it out of. what i am trying to say is i dont see the consistancy i see in rifles. am i right in saying this or am i not seeing the picture clearly. i understand there were not a lot of pistols made witch might have something to do with itbut i would like to hhear other peaples thoughts thank you
