Plains rifle ?

Stopped at a local pawnshop and they have a Lyman .45 plains rifle with asking price of $400 . They normally have high prices on all their guns but do seem to deal if you have cash. Rifle is in good condition with a clean looking bore . What would you offer ? FBC

$300 but would be willing to pay the asking price for a very clean and well maintained example. Those older Lyman/Investarms were nice rifles.

The gun shop owner paid between $125 and $150 for that rifle.

Offer him $275.

Finally got by the pawnshop in the last 15 minutes they were open for 2022 . Bought the .45 Lyman Plains rifle and she seems like a good one . Barrel was spic and span clean with no rust anywhere on the rifle. Looking forward to shooting it . FBC
