Polish capper question

For those of you with a Polish capper, after watching the videos online it appears that when capping you pull the capper rearward and friction is what keeps the cap on the nipple.

The inline and TDC rifle capper that I have you put the cap on and pull sideways and the "fingers" on the capper flex enough to release the cap.

Can someone confirm that the "fingers" of the Polish capper do or do not flex?

I watched one of the demo videos and it looks to me like the "fingers" flex when you pull the capper directly away from the nipple, ie in a line perpendicular to the bore axis, not rearward and parallel to the bore axis, which is what I think you're describing.

I gotta get me one of these. It looks superior to anything else I've tried so far. The main advantage being the ease of loading. The star capper I've been using mounts the caps on the nipples pretty well, but they're a pain to load with caps.

Yes that appears different than the videos I watched of the metal one..

They are different than the standard in the pull is straight back not sideways.
I was skeptical but they work and are my go to cappers.
Their star capper works with tap caps as well.
I set the caps with a dowell on revolvers and my thumb on rifles out of habit anyways.
