I have started making myself a possibles pouch and have been looking for pic's on the net to see the layout of pockets on the inside of the pouch.

I have looked at a large number of pouchs but not many show inside pockets.
I don't like the idea of a lot of loose items in the pouch.

Anyone willing to show the interworkings of their pouches.

Do you mean a "shooting bag" of some kind?

What I am making is the container that a person carries the working gear for shooting a muzzleloader.
Your patches, patch lube, short ball starter, container for extra balls, lunch, and the other 101 different things.
I have seen this thing call a possible bag, possible pouch, shooting bag or pouch, and a couple of other things.

The layout and size of the pockets is what I am asking about.

Thanks for moving this to the right area.

Make 2 bags. One for your gun, the other for all the extra crap you don't really need to carry but do anyways.

Your gun/rifle bag should primarily contain the things needed to feed and care for your firearm (exceptions in mine - compass, flint and steel). Additionally, your rifle/gun bag should not be large (mine is about 6"x8").

According to most, a shooting bag or pouch is for your gun - nothing else.

A "possibles" bag is for all your other stuff, like food, flint and steel, etc. some people also call it a haversack, which was a military bag.

I guess it will be a shooting bag/pouch. It will be 9" wide and 6" high on the front. I have not desided if I want a pocket on the front part of it.

My shooting bags are all small.

Two full-size pockets, two small pockets (cards) and lubed wads in the tin. Primers in cap box and a Ted Cash primer dispenser.

One big pocket and a single small flint pocket in the back. Tool roll, lube, patching and ball bag. Folding patch knife. Leather to help grab rammer for ball pulling. Tiny priming flask

Tin for wads and cards and tin for paper cartridges, priming horn, small tin for tools and jags. Wad of unspun wool for wadding and cleaning.

Note I substituted a tin of paper cartridges for the ball block.

Only what it takes to shoot and maintain the rifle or gun. Maybe 12 things instead of 101.

Your shooting bags are great, and show me that I might have to scale down the number of things going into my new, as of yet unfinished shooting bag.
I can see that a couple tins might be add to help in keeping things from just floating around in the bottom of the bag.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to help me with this project

If I might make a suggestions. Make one out of cheap cloth and a stapler first. That way you can change the way that the pockets are sized and the arrangement of them until you find just the right set up. I have had guys do this and then send me the cloth to make the bag from, along with pictures. Good luck on your project. If I can help drop me a PM.

Flintlock62

That is a nice bag, and the second pocket is something to think about idea.
You guys make it hard to finish putting this thing togeather, I keep changeing my mind on it.
