A week or so ago I asked a question about construction of a bag. I got some excellant feedback that helped me a lot. I combined the info from Brett Sr.( by e-mail ) and Hobbles from links on my post. I know now that I stained it to dark, something I can correct on the next bag. I'm also not sure how you guys make you're antler button look so good. Mine is functional, but is stump ugly. But it has everything I believe I'll need in a bag. I also stitched a small compartmnt in the inside. Take a look. Thanks too all that gave me input, snagg

Snagg,
The ONLY one who needs to be pleased,is YOU :winking:
From the looks of the pic, you did a great job on it. I like the stitching, which shows up well.

We always make things and then second guess ourselves on how it could be better, thats human nature!
My first horn wont impress any of you, but it flat out thrills me to no end.
Snagg...ya done good
I'm glad I could be of assistance on it and dont forget to give goldhunter credit, it was his pattern!

Great Job Snagg,

Brett

Personally, I don't think it's too dark. It looks great like that. Just wear darker clothes!

I think you did a fine job on that bag. I like the side pouch for your short starter. I'm still looking for my pattern to make my bag.

Snagg. You're welcome. I just wish I could see it. My computer is having issues with viewing pictures from Photobucket. Hopefully I can fix this soon. There are so many new items to look at this week and I can't see any of them! aaagh :cursing:

Goldhunter,
Hope you did'nt mind I shared the plans you forwarded me.

Brett

...his bag came out nice!

I got the idea from plans e-mailed to me from Brett Sr. and from seeing the bag Hobbles had posted a picture of. I combined the ideas from each that I liked and made the bag from there. The plans from Brett Sr. had originally came from Goldhunter. There are a lot talented people on this site, and many of them have posted pictures of there items. Pick the ones you like or individual parts that you like and build from there. One very good hint I read was to make the bag out of paper first and then make the real one. Might just save some headaches down the road.
Once again I thank all the kind comments.

Not at all!! Glad you guys thought it was good enough to use and make your own. That's why I love this forum, the sharing of ideas.

Thanks Goldhunter. Coming from an experienced hand such as yourself is a real compliment.
