Been working for the last couple months on a possibles bag. I got the inspiration from a bag I saw on the leatherman website... I need advice as to how to finish it off... I want some sort of clasp or button for the front pocket. I was thinking about a steel button with gun blueing like the rings. Also i have a buckle i was thinking about adding to the strap but in all honesty, the strap length is perfect for me so it would be for looks and nothing else. I got the strap from the weaving welshman. (very pleasant experience i might add) Let me know what you guys think

Nice even stitching. Looks really nice, ya done good. I would go with a copper button on the pocket. And if the strap is perfect save the buckle for the next one! That Welshman makes a mighty fine strap for sure!

Very nice indeed. I would use either a copper button or maybe an antler button.

Aha! That's almost exactly the bag that I've been designing for myself- I especially like the pocket shapes and placements. Nicely done!

Have to agree that a copper button would be a great addition.

I think a copper button would kind of get lost on that nice dark leather. I'd been inclined toward pewter, until I saw you're from Nevada. It's gotta be silver!

My vote is for a pewter button! __ That said, I'm not big on bags that have a lot of pockets and space! __ Seems that we have a tendency to carry to much junk we really don't use, but we think it was a great idea at the time! HELL! __ I'm as guilty as anyone!

Also, it is an old Indian legend, that plastic speed loaders and aerosol cans in your pouch can make you go totally blind! ... :rotf:

Nice stitching and pouch, by the way!__

I wanted a large bag so i could carry a sandwich, some jerky, my pipe, and a flask. as for the plastic speed loaders... i am going to use them one more time and then put them away. I want to use period correct bits and right now im just trying to get my gear together... I wish i could go shooting with some of you guys to see what you are carrying and using to scrub the barrel down between shots... i can vouch for that indian legend cause my eyes are getting worse every year...

a silver button eh? im going to go look around some of the many antique shops here in town and see if i can find something nice...

ryzaman, That came out real nice. Enjoy your bag, ? Do you shoot with the boy's out of RENO OR CARSON ?

I think an antler button would look very nice on it. Gorgeous bag by the way.
