I got a pleasant surprise whenever I went to my mailbox today and found my copy of Recreating the 18th century powder horn by the Sibley's.
I hope that I can redeem myself after I read it and get myself familiar with their methods. I will keep you posted on how things are going.

Oh heck yeah, you'll take off now on some serious horn making... Follow the book to the letter and you'll do fine and once you get a grip on things, then you can take off on your own and build them your way.

Danny... :hatsoff:

tremendous book- well laid out, simple to use, good photos, decent grammar (always an irritant, even if functionally irellivant) and, no, they don't pay me to say nice things about them.

you'll get great results right out of the gate, and you'll get even better as you make more horns for your friends, fellow shooters, and then you'll want to make a horn for each of your many rifles, and then, since you're on a roll, check out the book about hunting pouches by T.C.Albert (also a Track publication- same format) and you can make pouches for each one of your many rifles.

ah, life is good!
