Hi,

It is said to come from a collector who collected Indian Americana so my question is, can that be true....
I should really appreciate your opinions about this one....

Best regards,
Hombre

I have no idea if it's original or not. But it is unique, looks very nice, definitely should be used and appears to have originally been a pistol stock.

Thank you all for your comments.... I really appreciate it....

It seems to be made of some kind of horn and the only measurement I got is the lenght which is 14 cm...
I asked the seller about it but the only information I got was that the sellers husband bought it from the widow of a guy who was collecting items from the North American Indians.... Of course, that doesn´t mean that it must be Indian Americana.... It can be something else and therefore I need your expertise....

Best,
Hombre

When looking at it closely and cropping the photo for a close up it does appear to be some kind of horn or similar material. But,,,,

I asked this question on the other forum this is posted on and have gotten no response. How is it that the bulbous end is sealed over by the same material, I see no seam, as the rest of the "horn"? I would think the fat end would go to the animal's head and be open and hollow, thus the plug we put in a cow or bison horn.
However, what if it is antler, say, from a reindeer or other caribou like species?
