This is in pretty decent shape. Does have some rust spotting on the top. The rest is in pretty good shape.
The inside looks pretty good.
Outside measures 16 1/2" hi x 23" wide x 11 3/4" deep.
Inside measures 13 3/8" hi x 21 1/2" wide x 10" deep.
Due to the weight ( approx 30#'s or more? ) local pick up only.
I am willing to travel a bit to meet someone. SE MASS/North Shore but not into or past Boston but will go a bit up the Mass Pike. I am on Cape Cod.
Asking $100.

Wish I lived near you. That is a great price.

The lack of offers, other than you won't ship it, may be that the lockable latches make it off code for storing black powder in all the jurisdictions I am aware of. Removing those latches may help.

Never heard of that before. Where do you get your information about the latches.....?

Would love to see the regulation(s) from the jurisdictions you are referring to. I’ve seen what you state repeated on forums and websites, but haven’t found it on any government website. I looked into black powder storage a while back and below is what I found on the ATF website for indoor storage of black powder. Could you post a link to the ‘code’ you are referring to.

3.HINGES AND HASPS.Hinges and hasps are to be attached to doors by welding, riveting, or bolting (nuts on inside of door). Hinges and hasps must be installed so that they cannot be removed when the doors are closed and locked.
4.LOCKS.Each door is to be equipped with (i) two mortise locks; (ii) two padlocks fastened in separate hasps and staples; (iii) a combination of a mortise lock and padlock;…..

The Fire Marshall for a particular town, city, county or any other jurisdiction usually sets the codes for storing black powder. Some places have no rules at all. They usually include quantity limits, that the powder be place within a certain number of feet from an outside wall door, & that "if" in a locker or other container that the lid not be sealed or locked shut. A container with a lid that can contain the powder is like a pipe bomb & in a fire will violently explode. A locker or box with a lid that is NOT locked down will allow the lid to pop open & the powder will just burn & NOT explode. Perhaps the regs you are quoting are for storage rooms or magazines the ATF may require for certain circumstances & not for an actual box or locker like the one for sale. With a storage room there is no need to put the powder in a locker. I guarantee there isn't a fire marshall on the planet that would approve keeping Black Powder in that pipe bomb, locked lid locker. Believe what you want, I was just trying to help.

Ok, the ATF is the incorrect source to reference for blackpowder storage in a non-residential building, although the OP’s chest seems to meet some aspects of the ATF requirement. I am not arguing with you, I was just always told that the ATF was the reference source to use for complying with blackpowder storage regulations. Could you please provide a link to the code that you are referencing? Went through this a while back for a club, and we were directed to the ATF website by a local government agency. Would like to know the correct reference for any future inquiries. Apologize for my ignorance.

@Boston Bill, believe you have a good item at a fair price, just too long of walk from NC to pick it up or I would buy. I find it interesting that the Muzzle-Loading Supply Company that originally owned may not have realize this container was possibly only in compliance with the ATF while not in compliance with local code soon to be cited by @Old Hawkeye. Hope you are successful with a local pickup sale.

April of 1980 I opened a very small gunsmith/gunshop. I carried black powder back then and I had to keep it in this very container.
Don't remember if the locals checked it and I never ever saw anyone from the ATF.
