Starts this thurs. and runs through sun. Prairie Du Chien Wisconsin Anybody going?

At least it shouldn't be under water yet. My brother lives right where you go out to the island and he has had his house flooded a few times. Maybe in a couple of weeks, too. I was there a few years ago but won't make it back there till October.

Not going this year. Plus I think a lot of the roads between here and there are out. And its raining again. :cursing:

I'll probably be at the battle next month.

I wouldn't bet on it not being flooded this year...we have had record breaking rain this Spring and it is raining hard right now again. Most rivers are at or above flood stage, some will crest tonight or tomorrow. I have seen water right up to the steps to Villa Louis before. A lot of roads and highways are closed now and it might even be difficult to get there. We won't be going this year due to house damage from water....NOT rain related however.

June 13, Friday, 5:45pm MDT. Just called my brother Curt who lives outside the gate of the Prairie rendezvous. He said the crest has passed and the river dropped a foot. Thinks that is the flood for this summer. Says the rendezvous is going hot and heavy. So if you can go, you won't have to wade or swim to get there nor take a boat to leave once you get there.

Moved to Prairie in '90 and that was the first ever Rondy we seen, had a blast and only took 10 yrs to realize that it was a way of life for me . That area is so rich in history.

We moved back out West in '92 and Prairie was under water in '93, couldn't get past the winters back there :barf: with nothing much to do but play darts.
