Found that small things can create large problems. The new ramrod from Track of the Wolf would not go through the thimbles. The screws attaching them to the rib were not correct. They had a thick head that projected into the thimble. I contacted Green Mountain in NH and found they had no parts. As both TC and GM use a 6-48 screw, I ordered 2 from Track, right head, right thread, but to long. Not enough thread to shorten either. Finally used 2 screws from a TC rear sight, not the correct screw but they worked. Next, some hopefully minor work on the barrel and then cleanup and maybe browning.
