Who has the best prices on pistol kits? Percussion or Flintlock? All prices seem to be going up !!!!!

Hey WV Scrounger!

Are you looking for a kit that is easy to build, or one that is more authentic? About the best pistol I've seen or gotten is the Lyman Plains Pistol, they're only in percussion, but they look and feel great! The Traditions Trapper is a decent kit and good shooter and I think they still might be available as a flintlock. I think you can still get either of those pistols in kit form for around $200 or so.

I'll see what kind of prices I can find on those two guns. Like you said, it seems that the prices of EVERYTHING is going up^Up^UP!!!

PS You can PM me about them later on, if you want to.

Hey WV Scrounger,

Cherry's has the Kentucky Flintlock pistols both .45 and .50 on closeout for $195 plus $15.00 for shipping. Dang, that is the best price I have ever seen on a Pedersoli.

You can use Naval Jelly to strip off the bluing and put on a browning if you desire.

Best to you!

Terry

That $195.00 pistol also has a walnut stock, if that matters to you. That's why I didn't order one. The maple is some higher.
