There are some fine craftsmen/women on this forum.
I have been looking at some shooting bags online mostly just pics of stuff and thought I’d post here.
Primitive, rough beat up leather, rough or smooth out but the rougher the better. Ragged edge flap, uneven long fringe, prefer no buckles on strap. Laced is better. Lined or not doesn’t matter. I can’t get fur or antler bits across the border into Canada from USA unfortunately so loose flap or leather button closure only. Cowhide, elk, buffalo or whatever. Would love to see some pics!
Thanks in advance. Would pay by money order.

Maybe these photos will help.
This is an original leather edged waxed/oiled canvas hunting bag from the mid-1800s & came with a story.
I bought it in the mid 90s by a from a fellow gun club member & history professor at the university in Albuquerque New Mexico.
He & his family were fleeing Nazi Germany in 1940, this was part of his grandad's shooting gear.
Said his grandad enjoyed bird, small game & boar hunting.
Nicely made bag & is still very usable except the leather strap is showing some age cracking.
Leather edged waterproofed canvas makes for a nice lightweight hunting bag !

This is a smaller bag, about 5.5 inches wide and 6 deep (14cm x 16cm). Pocket is divided by a cotton liner. Cotton strap with leather accent. I know the brass d-rings aren't entirely HC, but a sturdy small bag for a woods walk or day hunt. PM if this is of interest.
