Arrove at the range yesterday - it's a wide-open-air facility, with plenty of people space and as yet, has not been told to close - to find pal Rob looking bemused, to say the least.

He had just opened a new box of Speer brand .454" swaged ball, only to find that they were, in fact .375. As I carry a handy set of calipers in my possibles box, I was able to confirm his suspicions right there and then. Not totally useless, as he DOES has a couple of .36cal revolvers, but not that day...

Anybody else with this little problem?

I got two boxes of SPEER .530 ball that had been broken, because they had been crushed. To clarify, I got one delivered, and it had dumped the ball into the interior of the shipping box, and it was obviously crushed before it was packaged, as the shipping box was undamaged. I told the supplier who sent me another box, and it also was damaged, in a similar manner.

I told the supplier that they might want to check on how high they stack them in storage to ensure they aren't overloading the strength of the plastic containers on the bottom of the stack. Perhaps it's a problem at the SPEER factory. Lack of quality control. ???
