I have a T/C Renegade .56 Smooth barrel I bought it at a gun show years ago. It has a little pitting throughout the bore nothing bad and as far as I'm concerned its usable the way it is just wanting something different than the next guy.

Was wondering what it would take/cost to ream or bore it out?

It wouldn't take much to clean it up probably even to .58 cal would do it but was thinking more like .62 cal.

I guess at this point I'm either going to sell it or have it opened up.

Any other ideas of what I could do with this?

Having grown through those stages myself starting with a .56cal SB I'll give you my personal opinion...save yourself some headaches and get a .62cal GM drop-in barrel.

GM makes an excellent .62cal smoothbore drop-in barrel for the 1" Renegade/Hawken stocks...1" x 33" in both cap and flint...the longer barrel is a big plus over the stubby little .56cal Renegade barrel.

I have them in Flint on TC Hawkens and they're excellent...IMO, you'd be far better off to get one of those...sell the .56 if you like, etc.

To avoid paying full MSRP by ordering directly from GM, I ordered mine through Ed Cain at Cains Outdoor ML Supply in West VA...
