I have just started shooting competitive pistol at my club. A number of people at my club, that shoot at friendship told me that there is a builder that makes competition target pistols and he is usually there at Friendship. I was hoping that I could go this year but if I can not, does anyone have any web pages or names of people that make these type of pistols?

If you don't mind going the factory route, Pedersoli makes a bunch of target pistols, flint and percussion that seem to be very popular and well respected with the target crowd. Hopefully, the link will work:

Thanks for the help but I am shooting now with a factory pistol. Even though pedersoli pistols are good, I am looking for a more customized target pistol. Mainly 32 to 40 cal., custom grips, adustable sights and trigger. I will probably have to go to Friendship, but trying to get the time off is another question. :hatsoff:

He-Bear I got the chance to shoot a Charlie Caywood pistol a couple of weeks ago.I was very happy with the results.Charlie's pistols are under hammers, 40 cal.I believe he is trying to retire,so he may not be making to many more of these pistols.I think they are around $400,and well worth the money.Probably the easiest pistol I have pleasure to shoot...Respectfully Montanadan

I have been looking at the underhammer pistol and a maker, named Ingrham, is one that I am looking at . I just emailed him and he has something that I am interested in the same price range as what you indicated, but I need to talk to some of the people that I shoot with to see if it will help me. Here is the link for anybody inerested. Ingrham Underhammers
