I'm really fond of the setup that Németh Balázs is using in his 1796 M Jagerstuetzen video.
He has a full length rod which is retained by a lanyard and transported in a carriage ring on his bag.
Is there a name for this sort of setup? Is it based on a historical precedent?

I'd love to see other carriage solutions for transporting a full length rod outside of a gun carriage as well.
Seems like a nice way to have one 'does-it-all' sort of kit bag set up!

Moving this one over to the accessories forum, I guess it's more appropriate there.
