Mounted and cowitnessed the TC aperture sight ( thanks again Weewill) and hit the range.
Didn't need to touch a thing as she hit 2 inches high at 50.
I did have a couple derp shots... but my 3 round groups were all 1& 3/16ths! Huzzah! I CAN shoot a flintlock after all.
The aperture sight helped in an unexpected way. With the open sights, my visual attention is beyond the lock. With the aperture, its behind the lock. The prime flash is not as distracting. I know it isn't possible to out flinch a flintlock. The flinch is starting before the sear trips. But a change in visual attention is a great help.
Guess I don't need a disclaimer about my flintlock abilities anymore.
Usual excuses for a miss still apply though.
