Not sure if this belongs here or not but here goes. does anyone make range rods in 50 inches? I have two flinters with 46 inch barrels, and I just successfully broke the extension onit leaving the threads in the rod. rather than farting around with this method again. Im looking for a 50 inch rod thats one solid piece. I....lack the equipment, room or time to make one. so buying is my only option

Call Jason at rice barrels. He just built me one this past week. Very good quality and the price is right.

Get a length of Delrin rod. You can turn down the end to fit a brass tip. You can also put a handle on the other end if you like. :hmm:

I have a couple of brass range rods that were made by RMCoxyoke. They make them in custom lengths.

They come in 3/8" or 1/4". Both ends are tapped 10-32. The cost for one is $22.95.
Respectfully, Cowboy :hatsoff:

My favorite range rod is the Treso GI rod, in the 48 inch length. Has a swivel handle that is drilled so a cross pin can be inserted for dry ball removal with a screw. Be sure to buy a muzzle guard at the same time. Buy mine from Gun Works Muzzleloading Emporium in Oregon. Good people.

I used to make an sell Delrin rods and still use for myself. But, the manufacturers/wholesalers produce the rod in eight foot lenghts. For shipping they will cut in half. e.g. 48". To get longer one must go to them and pick up in person. I would look for a local company that can provide lengths of stainless steel or brass rod. Buy what you need and make yer own rammer.
