This last rifle is my Hot Rod Hawken. This one is a 1-30 twist. It has the Lyman 57 sights and Lyman 17 AML globe front sight with Lee Shavers inserts. The load is 80 gr of pyrodex P with an over powder wad. The Bullet is a RCBS 11mm bullet that is .446 when it comes out of the mould. I paper patch it and size it again to .446 and it is ready to shoot.

How do I figure out the front globe height for my GM 58 barrel? Or are they all the same height? What size was the dovetail used by GM?

All you need is the Lyman 17 AML. The rear sight is a Lyman 57 SML. Those will work on your barrel. I have a tutorial on installation of the rear sight. I would recommend that you get a dovetail file. You won't want to do much with it just get the sight to start a pinch easier. Ron

Now a Lyman 57 rear sight and a globe front sight may not be HC, but ya got to love them on the range. Most of my rifles now have peeps sights on them either Lyman or TC.

Good shooting, you load heavier than I do, but you're getting good results. You have three nice looking deer to prove what your guns can do. Thanks for the info.

I had a Gunsmith names Terry Miller in Twin Falls do it. I wanted to keep the small piece of Brass and I wanted the cut to look good. He did an excellent job. The limb saver was just that a limb saver. Ron

Great looking guns Ron, not to mention great looking critters. The guns don't seem to have a scratch on them, how do you manage that??

If you looked close the Renegade has a cracked stock. I glassed and pinned it together. It was a hunting mishap. Ron
