Cut 2 pieces shaped as you wish and sew them together. When they are finished soak them in water till they are soft. Pack the canteen full of sand, some use rice, and let it dry.

Doesn't need to be hot, but you have to let the raw hide dry well!

OK ,i always thought it had to be hot,i just got some rawhide to TRY to make a drum,i'll try those bags too..
