Re-handled this knife

Got this in a trade i did some days ago. Original handle was a deer antler too but way to small for my hands and wasnt comfortable for me.

I got this one off a shed i found in the back yard some years ago and got it shaped and fitted to the knife. I used JB Weld to hold it in, Hopefully it will hold up to many years of use.

The last owner said the blade was made from a railroad spike. It took a really darn good edge after a few minutes on my knife stone.

Going to let it dry for a day or 2 and then cut the browtine off and shape that down.

Looks nice really has the hand forged look to it! If you can I would do what Halfmoon said put at least 1 pin through it. You can take a nail and cut it down for a pin. I've used some heavy finnishing nails on a couple handles already and it works well of course its yours and it's up to you. Just use agood sharp bit :thumbsup:
