Ok, I know there aren't supposed to be any stupid questions, but I thought I would give it my best shot anyway. Additionally, I didn't know quite which topic this fit into, so I went general.

I just bought a new green mtn barrel, 50 cal drop in for T/C. It's got the adj rear sight but I don't much like the profile on the rear sight. Can I buy a replacement "blade" for the rear sight with a profile that I like or do I have to buy the entire rear sight?

Thanks for taking the time.

Bwaaaaaak!

If it's like the adjustable read sights on a couple of GM barrels I have, the rear sight verticle panel is not a replaceable part having different sizes to interchange, etc.

Not sure what you have in mind for your preferred profile, but FWIW, the rear sight on mine seems to work well and produces excellent accuracy...that's probably because they seem to favor a target type sight more so than a wide open fast acquisition 'hunting' style rear sight...maybe you could give GM a call and see if they have different profile rear sights you could order to replace your current one.
(Just tap out the 'roll pin' at the front of the sight, lift out the top section, and remove two screws holding the base to the barrel)
